Pangit na serbisyo

27 October 2011 | Day 110
6:43 pm

Well, today was enlistment day, and I am hoping the the subjects under my belt for the coming semester are challenging yet manageable. Too bad it means more expenses, and how I wish I can already pay my tuition on my own at this point.

Other than that, dad accompanied me to Land Transportation Office in Guiguinto this morning until early afternoon to renew my driver’s license and ‘upgrade’ it to ‘non-professional.’ What I can say is that LTO sucks, primarily because of their slow and poor system of service, as well as their ‘sizzling hot’ venue. We had to wait for about three hours just to finish a three step process, not to mention that my license will not be available until tomorrow. I feel sorry for my dad because he had to wait that long before he can go to his job in Manila. How I wish something will be done about our government offices and services. It is not easy to make people wait, especially if it is unreasonable. Those three steps can be accomplished in about 15 minutes, really. Something has to be done with the office’s employees’ work ethics, the office’s technology, and perhaps even the venue. How can they take too many complains everyday from their customers?

Have a good evening,

The Sembreak Clock Ticks Down

26 October 2011 | Day 109
6:50 pm

It’s enlistment day for the second semester tomorrow. I can feel that this sembreak is about to end before I know it.

Oh well, I just hope I can do something extraordinary this sembreak. Maybe a vacation out of town would be nice. So far, my sembreak is…ok. Nothing spectacular, nothing bad either.

To those of you who play Pokemon, add my Friend Code 5114 3758 9142. You can comment your FC here so I can add you too and maybe we can battle some time.

To my fellow college students who are on sembreak, let’s make the most out of it. It is slowly crawling away from us.

Kapit sa Hukay

Hello friends. Here is the promised other half of the two videos that I, with respective group mates, did for the 1st semester of S.Y. 2011-2012. This is a documentary for POS100 (Introduction to Good Governance) and tries to show the reality of the situation in Philippine burial. Enjoy watching. And sorry for the bad audio, for some reason, YouTube destroyed the audio.

25 October 2011 | Day 108
6:27 pm

Nothing much interesting happened today, except for my brother placing 2nd in Men’s Table Tennis in their intramurals. I’m happy for him, knowing that he exerted so much effort to grab that win. We do not have an athletic blood, but he managed to pull it off somehow. He’s good, he’s great, I wish him the best.

I’ll post better things tomorrow. It’s just I can’t think of anything proper to say today. Have a good night dear readers.

The weekend that was

24 October 2011 | Day 107
12:13 pm

I am sorry if I was not able to post Daily Scribbles these past two days. I was just enjoying my semestral break, and the way I see it, I have been successful.

Well, Saturday was family day. We went to Manila to claim my parents’ gift for my birthday last October 11. Well, I knew what it is, but I was surprised to see it in actuality. It was a brand new car – Lancer EX GT-A. It was, and it is, amazing and probably the most beautiful car anybody of my age can have for now. It…it simply is beautiful! And I really thank my parents for giving it to me. I did not wish for anything like it for my birthday. In fact I was just wishing for books. But they are the best parents, and I’m not saying this just because of the gift.

Yesterday was barkada day. I and my friends from high school had a killer basketball and swimming day yesterday, and I must say that the aftershocks are painfully awesome that I can feel them while while typing this entry. It was fun seeing old friends again, especially when knowing that our friendship did not change. It’s still there. We’re still the barkada that we used to be when we were in high school. The jokes, the personalities, the bullying, nothing seemed to have decreased after spending two years away from each other. The chains are still connected.

Well, that’s all. I’ll post my final paper in POS60 soon. Enjoy the day!

Unending grace

21 October 2011 | Day 106
7:26 pm

The final grades are out, well at least the final QPI. And I’m so happy to belong to the Dean’s List! This is my first, and I’m sure never to forget it. I got a QPI of 3.58 for the recently concluded semester (just 0.42 short of making it perfect) and I faithfully offer it to my loving parents. I thank all my teachers for the patience and considerations. Thank you too to my blockmates for making the semester fun. Most of all, I thank God for hisĀ  unending grace.

Well, I started reading the second part of Malcolm Gladwell’s Outliers today as a part of my reading list for the semestral break. As usual, I had Pokemon battles over the Wi-Fi and unfortunately I never won any today. Haha. It’s okay. As long as I’m having fun with it, it doesn’t matter whether I win or I lose.

Have a fun sembreak folks! I have to celebrate! See you!
